[Six months ago, Ironhide received a uniform. Six months ago, he barely wanted to look at it.]
[And now, he's totally wearing it. Granted, he looks pretty solemn about the whole thing, but hey, at least he's wearing the thing. He's also out on the edge of the town, leaning casually back against his Onix, studying the sky.]
... Any town in this place stay warm most of the year?
[There's a reason he's asking -- one he probably won't say unless absolutely pressed. He looks like he's going to ask something else before his brow abruptly furrows, and he looks up at his Onix.]
Remind me. Have the sudden urge to hit Cliffjumper... Do not let me forget.
[The Onix tilts her head, but nods slightly before her trainer hangs up.]

[Ironhide just. Sort of chucks the first ball he puts his hand on. While behind him, Naplam lowers her head, and taps the front of her own ball with her nose -- effectively putting herself back in.]
[And BAM. There's Dog.]

He might have been secretly hoping for Tag, but he'll take it. ]

[HI HI HELLO HI HOW ARE YOU HI.]
[... At least until Ironhide clears his throat. Then she settles, ears cocked forward, and practically vibrating in place.]

[He nods to Dog.]
Crunch it.

Specter vs Dog, victory ultimately goes to Specter, due to his level advantage.
Still picking at random, Ironhide calls
SheepEvangeline. Eva manages to take the Haunter in his weakened state.Cliffjumper's Quagsire is up next, and her immunity to electric attacks earns her an easy victory over Eva.
Cannon the Blastoise follows, staring down the smaller water-type pokémon. It's a close one, but eventually, Cannon stands victorious.
By sheer luck, Cliff picks Rascal next, who takes out the water-type quickly.
The smaller pokémon soon finds itself facing an Ursaring. Jaws' sheer power manages to eventually overwhelm the Electrike.
Cordon is next, and while Jaws has the level advantage, Rascal has done his damage, and the Altaria manages to scrape out a victory.
It doesn't last long in the face of Ironhide's Aggron.
Cliff next picks Roller, who, while at a comparatively low level, is a tank. He gives the Aggron a good run for his money, but Egg eventually takes him out.
Rebel finishes him quickly, however.
And now they're back where they began, all those months ago. A Tauros and an Onyx, staring each other down. ]

[But she glances back at Ironhide, who nods. And then the Onix launches herself forward.]
[NAPALM used SLAM]

Rebel manages to avoid the worst of the attack, thanks to his smaller size and being rather quick on his hooves.
He steels himself and leaps at the Onix. ]
[ REBEL used ZEN HEADBUTT ]

[She curls in on herself, when Rebel leaps, on the defense now.]
[NAPALM used HARDEN]

The Tauros lands a fair distance away, rearing back and unleashing a stream of flame from his mouth. ]
[ REBEL used FLAMETHROWER ]

[The confusion lasts for all of a moment before she goes back on the attack.]
[ NAPALM used SMACK DOWN ]

A strange force envelops the Tauros and lances out at the Onix. ]
[ REBEL used PAYBACK ]

[Only to be knocked back as the attack hits. She wavers, head weaving back and forth. She's a bit impressed with that. But retaliates, nonetheless, dragging her tail over the ground rapidly, throwing up sand.]

He glances a Cliff, who nods. The sound that escapes him may be an apology to the Onix as he opens his mouth to let forth a stream of ice. ]
[ REBEL used ICE BEAM ]

[It's... not a good sound. And, needless to say, the attack is super effective. Napalm ends up curled in on herself, caked in ice.]
[And honestly, Ironhide looks more concerned than he does upset at the loss of the fight. Good job, boys.]

He will adamantly refuse to leave her side.
Cliff himself is frowning deeply. ]
... That didn't quite go how I expected.

[Meanwhile, her trainer is pulling out several potions, grumbling to himself.]
Yeah. It did not.
